Our Daily Flow
Arrival
A typical day at Gan begins with a warm welcome by our director and Morahs.
Work/Play Cycle
Children walk into their classrooms ready to start their day. They hang up their backpacks and start their morning work/play cycle. Work/play cycle is a time to explore the materials and lessons in the classroom. During this time, children work independently and in groups with a teacher and a peer.
Circle
Next, we ring the “clean-up bell” to clean-up the lessons and gather for circle time. During circle time each day we Daven, sing songs and assign “classroom helpers” jobs for the day. These jobs include classroom cleaner, carpet roller, library helper, plant feeder and circle time helper. The children look forward to taking turns with being a classroom helper. It builds their confidence and creates a sense of community.
Morning Snack
After circle time we eat a light morning snack. The Gan provides nutritional Kosher snacks each day. Snacks include fruits, crackers, rice cakes and more.
Outdoor Play
After snack we go out to play! We play at Belle Isle park each day. This park time provides children an opportunity to strengthen their gross motor, social and emotional skills.
Lunch
Starting August 2025 lunch will be provided by the Gan. We serve kid friendly food that is aligned with the highest Kosher standards practiced at the Chabad. No need to stress on deciding what to pack each day. We got it covered!
Half-Day Dismissal & Nap/Rest
After lunch, our half-day children dismiss. Full day students stay and get ready for nap/rest time. Primary student rest for a short time, then continue another work/play cycle.
Afternoon Snack
After snack and the afternoon work/play cycle another snack is provided. All full day children are served another wholesome snack before ending the school day.
Dismissal
After snack, we get ready to go home. Before ending our day we gather for one more circle and enjoy storytime.
In addition to a typical day, we offer weekly specials such as art, music, yoga, and cooking!
